Learning path
Which level to choose
The levels are named after the colour of the run. Find the row that describes what you can already do and that is your level. Snowboarding uses the same levels with different terms: toe and heel edge, falling leaf, edge changes.
When in doubt, pick the lower level. Moving up during the lesson is easier and more pleasant than the other way round.

Ski and Equipment Rental Tatranská Lomnica
The rental is in Tatranská Lomnica and it is an official Rossignol Test Center, so the skis and snowboards are from the current 2026/2027 season. Boot size and binding settings are sorted out on the spot. A full set, that is skis, boots and poles, starts at 24 € a day.

Weather
We teach in any normal weather, including snowfall and frost. A lesson is cancelled only when the resort stops the lifts. In that case we refund the full amount or agree on another date.
No-show
If you do not turn up at the agreed time and do not tell us in advance, the lesson counts as used.
Illness or injury
In case of illness or injury we refund the amount once you show a doctor's note.

A lesson is for you or your family, we never add anyone else. Each additional person is +17 € in Tatranská Lomnica and +10 € (60 min) or +15 € (120 min) in Starý Smokovec.
Two locations with different terrain
Tatranská Lomnica: a cable car and access to the resort with 12 km of runs, plus an official Rossignol Test Center on site with a full set from 24 € a day. Starý Smokovec: a gentle learning slope of about 300 m and a children's conveyor belt.
Ski courses in the High Tatras
We offer one kind of lesson: private. You choose the length of 60, 90 or 120 minutes, the location and the sport, skis or snowboard. We teach children from the age of 3, adults standing on skis for the first time, and skiers who want to handle a red run. The table above tells you which level is yours.
Ski and snowboard equipment rental
In our ski rental you will find the latest Rossignol 2026/2027 models. We are an official Rossignol Test Center, meaning you can try the most modern skis and snowboards before buying. The SKI BASIC set with Rossignol REACT skis costs 24 € per day, the higher-performance SKI EXPERIENCE with the FORZA model 26 €. Individual pieces of gear can be rented too.
Ski Trab touring equipment - new 2026/2027 models
For ski touring enthusiasts we have the latest Ski Trab touring equipment. You can rent complete sets or individual components - touring skis, skins, poles, and ski touring boots. All gear is from the newest 2026/2027 models.

Pricing FAQ
Do you offer group lessons?
No, we offer exclusively private ski and snowboard lessons – an individual approach for every client. Each additional person in a lesson is charged extra (Tatranská Lomnica +€17, Starý Smokovec +€10 for 60 min / +€15 for 120 min).
What discounts do you offer on multi-day lessons?
For lessons in Tatranská Lomnica, a −5% discount applies for 3 days and −10% for from 6 days. Hotel Atrium guests get special prices in Starý Smokovec: 60 min for €37 and 120 min for €66.
From what age do you teach children and is a helmet included?
We teach children from the age of 3 and provide a helmet free of charge. Our instructors are certified (APUL) and speak Slovak, Czech, Polish and English.
How much does it cost to rent a complete ski set?
The SKI BASIC set (Rossignol REACT) from €24 per day, SKI EXPERIENCE & SNOWBOARD (Rossignol FORZA) from €26 per day, and the Ski Trab touring set from €40 per day (reservation required). Our rental in Tatranská Lomnica is an official Rossignol Test Center.
Do you sell ski passes?
We do not sell ski passes. You can buy them online at gopass.travel or directly at the resort (vt.sk).
What happens if it rains or snows?
We teach in any normal weather, including snowfall and frost. A lesson is cancelled only when the resort stops the lifts. In that case we refund the full amount or agree on another date.
Does the instructor speak English or Polish?
Our instructors speak Slovak, Czech, Polish and English. Tell us in the booking which language you want the lesson in.
How far in advance should I book in high season?
The sooner the better: every lesson is private, so we block one instructor for your slot. We check free times on +421 911 561 561, daily from 8:00 to 21:00. Booking ahead carries no risk, more than 72 hours before the lesson you can cancel with a 100 % refund.
Can I change the time of the lesson?
Call us as soon as you can. When more than 72 hours remain, we move the lesson to another free slot at no charge. After that the cancellation terms apply: 24 to 72 hours before the lesson we refund 50 %, with less than 24 hours we offer a voucher.
