Booking and pickup

At pickup, put both boots on and walk around in them. A boot that hurts can't be swapped at the trailhead. We're open until 17:00, so you can collect the gear the day before if the set is free.
Safety
Ski touring is not a groomed piste. Most Tatra valleys are avalanche terrain in winter and you make the calls yourself.
No transceiver, probe or shovel, and none of it is in any set. Only go into avalanche terrain with your own gear that you know how to use.
Conditions change day to day. The Mountain Rescue Service publishes the bulletin on laviny.sk. Read the text, not just the danger level.
Do your first tours with someone who knows the terrain, or with a mountain guide. We're happy to recommend one.
Off marked trails, TANAP has rules and winter closures; check them before you set off. Tell someone your route and return time.
We rent ski touring gear at the cable car valley station in Tatranská Lomnica.

The Ski Trab full set (skis, skins, poles, boots) is €40 for 1 day, €76 for 2 days and €112 for 3 days. Skis alone €30, Scott boots €25, skins €15 and poles €10 per day.
Yes. We have few sets and they're often out in season. Call +421 911 561 561, daily 8:00 to 17:00.
No. We don't rent transceivers, probes or shovels. You need your own gear for avalanche terrain. The bulletin is on laviny.sk; Mountain Rescue is 18 300.
Yes. Skins come with the full set (€40), skis + skins (€35) and skis + skins + poles (€38). Skis alone for €30 have no skins; skins cost €15 per day on their own.
What matters is height, weight and boot size, not age. Call with those and we'll tell you if a set fits. Younger skiers should only go into the terrain with an adult who knows it.
Yes, if the set is free that day. We're open until 17:00. Mention it when booking and we'll agree how the days are counted.
