Which models we stock and who they suit
This table answers the question a price list cannot: whether we have gear that fits you. We pick the ski length and boot size at the counter, based on your height, weight and ability. The rule next to the table lets you work your size out before you arrive.

Not right? We swap it. Changing ski length or boot size is included in the rental, even if you come back after the first run.
How to work out your size at home
- Beginner: stand the ski next to you, the tip should reach somewhere between your chin and your nose.
- Improver and advanced skier: between nose and forehead. A shorter ski turns more easily, a longer one holds better at speed.
- Ski boots are sized in Mondopoint, which is simply foot length in centimetres. Measure from heel to longest toe and tell us the number.
- Snowboards are chosen by height and weight together, so tell us both.
- Bring one thin ski sock. Two thick socks squeeze the foot inside the boot and it gets cold.

How it works
How renting equipment works
The rental shop is at Tatranská Lomnica 62 and during the season we are open daily from 8:00 to 21:00. Here is what is worth knowing before you arrive.
What a full set includes
A set means skis, boots and poles, everything you need to get on the slope. SKI BASIC is built on Rossignol REACT models at €24 per day; SKI EXPERIENCE & SNOWBOARD uses Rossignol FORZA at €26–30 per day depending on the model. Individual items are available separately, so if you have your own boots you only pay for skis.
Multi-day rental pays off
The per-day rate drops the longer you rent. A SKI BASIC set is €24 for one day, €46 for two and €67 for three, the third day works out at €21 rather than €24. The same applies to every item in the price list, ski touring included.
Sizing and setup
We pick skis by your height, weight and ability, and set the bindings on site to your boot size. Come in what you intend to ski in, or bring ski socks. Children's sizes are available too.
When to reserve ahead
Downhill kit can usually be sorted on the spot. Ski touring sets should be reserved by phone, though, we hold a limited number and they are usually out during the season. Call +421 911 561 561 with your dates, height, weight and shoe size.
Rossignol Test Center
We are an official Rossignol Test Center, which in practice means current-season models are on the rack and you can try them on the slope. If you are thinking of buying skis, it is the cheapest way to find out whether a model suits you.
Helmet and ski storage
Every ski school lesson includes a helmet at no charge, and ski storage is free for school clients. Helmets and goggles are also available to rent on their own.

Returns, cancellation and damage
These are the rules that come up most often at the rental counter. If you need to change a reservation, call as early as you can, that way we can still pass the gear to somebody else.

What one rental day means
A day ends when the shop closes, at 21:00. You return the gear by 21:00 on the last day of the rental. If you want to ski the next morning as well, the two-day rate works out better: a SKI BASIC set is €46 for two days instead of €48 for two separate days.
Damaged equipment
Normal wear is not charged, it comes with renting. Damage is settled individually according to its extent, and we confirm the specific terms when you pick the gear up.
Reserve touring gear ahead
We hold a limited number of Ski Trab touring sets and they are usually out during the season. Call +421 911 561 561 with your dates, height, weight and shoe size. Downhill gear can normally be sorted without a reservation.
Snow and weather
The shop runs through the whole winter season, roughly December to March or April. If the resort stops the lifts and skiing is off, the rental does not start and you pay nothing.

Where exactly is the rental shop and how do I get there?
We are at Tatranská Lomnica 62, 059 60 Vysoké Tatry, close to the cable car. You pick the gear up and return it at the same place. Through the winter season, roughly December to March or April, we are open every day. Phone: +421 911 561 561.
What equipment can I rent and how much does it cost?
We rent both skis and snowboards. The SKI BASIC set (Rossignol REACT) costs €24 for 1 day, €46 for 2 days and €67 for 3 days. The SKI EXPERIENCE & SNOWBOARD set (Rossignol FORZA) costs €26–30 for 1 day, €50–57 for 2 days and €73–84 for 3 days. Ski boots, poles, helmets and goggles can also be rented separately.
How long before skiing should I come in for my gear?
Allow 15 to 20 minutes. That is how long it takes to pick a ski length, set the bindings to your boot and check that the boot fits. If you have a lesson booked, add a buffer so that you are on the slope in your gear when it starts.
Do I need to reserve equipment in advance?
Downhill skis, snowboards, boots and helmets are usually sorted on the spot without a reservation. Touring sets should be reserved by phone on +421 911 561 561, we hold a limited number. Reservations are always by phone, there is no online form for the rental shop.
Do you rent to children?
Yes, we carry children's skis, boots and poles. A child's set follows the SKI BASIC price list, so €24 for one day. The ski school teaches children from age 3 and a helmet comes free with every lesson.
What if my boots hurt after the first day?
Bring them back to us, we will try another size or another model and the swap is included in the rental. Pressure often disappears once you replace two thick socks with a single thin ski sock.
Do you also rent ski touring equipment?
Yes, ski touring equipment requires advance reservation. The Ski Trab set costs €40 for 1 day, €76 for 2 days and €112 for 3 days. We also rent touring skis, skins, poles and Scott touring boots separately.
What does it mean that you are a Rossignol Test Center?
Our rental shop in Tatranská Lomnica is an official Rossignol Test Center. We rent current Rossignol REACT and Rossignol FORZA ski models that you can test directly on the slopes.

Gear will not teach you technique. If you are standing on skis for the first time, or you have been stuck at the same level for years, a private lesson runs 60 minutes, costs €44 and includes a helmet.
